Represent NHS Blood & Transplant campaign

 1) What is an advertising campaign?

An advertising campaign is a marketing group of people trying to advertise something.

2) What is the objective of the NHS Represent campaign? 

To get Black and asian minorities to donate blood

3) What does this advert want people to do once they've seen it (the 'call to action')? 

They want people to be woken up and go to there local blood campaign and donate the blood.

4) Why is the advert called 'Represent'? 

It is too inspire others from the 'bame' community to donate so she is representing that idea

5) Why have the producers chosen celebrities to feature in the advert? Give an example of three well-known people who appear in the advert and why they are famous - make sure you write their names and spell them accurately.

Many people are influenced by celebrities and are more likely to be inspired by them for example Lady Leshurr, Nicola Adams and Adepitan.

6) What are the connotations of the slow-paced long shot of empty chairs at the end of the advert?

They are connoting the fact that blood donating places are empty and there is nobody coming to donate.

7) How does the advert match the key conventions of a typical urban music video?

It has not a very fancy background it is just a casual london street matching urban music videos

8) How does the advert subvert stereotypes? Give three examples (e.g. ethnicity, masculinity, femininity, age, class, disability/ability etc.) 

It has muslim women working as a scientist, female boxers and black and asians overall
