Denotation and Connotation

  In this picture that was published by the famous company WaterAid denotes that everyday many are dying because of malnutrition in under privileged areas. The people are digging graves everyday because of it. From this picture we can connote that the boy looks sick and tired of the conditions but he knows this is there everyday as he is staring at the camera with a blank expression. This picture tells the audience that they are lucky and not everyone has the basic necessities of everyday life. This picture communicates with the audience as after seeing this innocent boy suffering they can donate to help them with their unfortunate living state.
