Denotation and Connotation

In this picture that was published by the famous company WaterAid denotes that everyday many are dying because of malnutrition in under privileged areas. The people are digging graves everyday because of it.

From this picture we can connote that the boy looks sick and tired of the conditions but he knows this is there everyday as he is staring at the camera with a blank expression. This picture tells the audience that they are lucky and not everyone has the basic necessities of everyday life. This picture communicates with the audience as after seeing this innocent boy suffering they can donate to help them with their unfortunate living state.

In this image I can denote that this is a newly released phone by the popular company apple. I can also see that this phone is called the ' Iphone 17 '.I think this image was released into the media so they can advertise they can promote there extremely known company's newly made product. The apple logo also is widely known and therefore when it is seen on the media it attracts popularity instantly only because the phone is getting released by apple one of the most reliable source that the customers can always trust. They have also kept the background in this photo the colour black so they can show of their colourful range of phones they will have available. This phone will attract the younger generation as of the unique design and some people who usually buy a new Iphone from this certain company anyways every few years.

Extension-
This poster is telling viewers that drinking and driving is extremely unsafe as when you are drunk you are less able to drive so if you do drive you might crash into another car and both drivers will be hurt and in this case the green car crashed into the red(the hand punched the face). This is a excellent example to show the consequences of your actions.

Poster analysis

Language: By looking at the poster we can see there is a lot going on in the background and the audience can take in a lot and understand the thrills and the storyline. We can predict that this is going to be a pirate film because of the costume the man is wearing it very dirty ripped messy hair a bandana and some weapon which I think is a bow and arrow too hunt. Also the background looks like there is a ship on fire in the water

Industry-The industry has marketed this very well as it looks very fun to watch. Also the industry most likely made a good profit from this movie as it looks quite interesting to watch and the way they created averts and posters like this so people unaware will want to watch it and they will get more audience meaning more increase in the company's production profit

Audience: Movies are for everyone but i think this movie is specifically targeted to the 15+ age group as their teenage/ young adult minds would be thrilled to watch a pirate based film. Also teenagers are often active on their socials and a poster like this would show up and get them to go and watch it. Teenagers at that age also get affected by media a lot in their age so they are most likely to enjoy watching it.

Representation: We can tell by this poster this is a film because the names of the director, producer, company, actors, editors and many more roles that have worked together to piece this film and finally release it for viewers. This film is a recommended film for those that are into the world of action films will enjoy the plots and dangers.

Extension-The way this photograph was taken a camera tilt from below to possibly fit in the actor's unique style of clothing sense and so the whole background can be shown .This helps  the audience know what is being worn and what genre the background and clothes are hinting
